 EMD WORKGROUP

AED Workgroup

  • Develop recommendations to the Board regarding a possible statewide Automated External Defibrillator (AED system)

Air Ambulance Committee

  • Explore issues and solutions related to air ambulances in Missouri

Finance committee

  • Develop recommendations regarding the Board’s annual budget.

  • Make and execute contracts or any other instruments and agreements necessary or convenient for the exercise of the Board’s powers and functions. 

GIS Committee

  • Develop recommendations regarding GIS in the state of Missouri

  • Craft and develop RFPs for Missouri GIS projects

Grants and Loans Committee 

  • Apply for and receive grants from federal, private, and other sources. 

  • Administer and authorize grants and loans under section 650.335. 

  • Develop an application process including reporting and accountability requirements, withholding a portion of the grant until completion of a project, and other measures to ensure funds are used in accordance with the law and purpose of the grant, and conduct audits as deemed necessary pursuant to section 650.330.4(17) 

Legislative Committee

  • Help craft and monitor legislation related to 911 in Missouri 

  • Work with 911 Associations to help align Board and Association legislative efforts 

Next Generation 911 Committee

  • Identify opportunities to move Missouri closer to Next-Generation 911 and carry our projects to further its development 

  • Craft and develop RFPs for Missouri NG911 projects

Nominations

  • Convene as needed to consider Board executive positions

Personnel Committee

  • Convene as needed to consider Board personnel issues

Training Committee

  • Provide recommendations for primary answering points and secondary answering points on technical and operational standards for 911 services.

  • Provide recommendations to public agencies concerning model systems to be considered in preparing a 911 service plan. 

Regionalization Committee

  • Identify and establish statutorily required Regional Coordination Centers

  • Assist in the facilitation of quarterly regional meetings
